Our Pastor
Dr. B. R. Daniels, Sr.
Dr. B. R. Daniels, Sr. a native of DeKalb, Texas graduated from Marvin Pynes High School and went on to matriculate and receive a BA in Sociology from Arlington State College, now University of Texas at Arlington. His call to the ministry under Dr. N. L. Robinson of the Mount Olive Baptist Church he received a degree from the Southern Bible Institute. Pastor Daniels love for the word of God did not stop there. He went on to receive a Masters and a PhD from the Aspen Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado.
He is married to Pamela Watson Daniels and has 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Pastor Daniels was called to Beth-Eden Missionary Baptist Church in December 1972, after Pastoring three years and eight month at the Saint John Baptist Church in Avalon, Texas. At that time the Beth-Eden Church had 37 members on the roll, 18 active. Within a year the church grew to 196 members with an active membership of 1400. His has been in the ministry for 40 years and at Beth-Eden for 35 years.
He is very active in the organized work Vice-President at Large of the Baptist, Missionary & Education State Convention, a member of the Board of Directors B. M. & E. State Convention of Texas, Vice-Moderator at Large of the Northwestern Association and member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Bible Institute.
